The Century Foundation, a leading progressive think tank, is currently seeking an individual to join our fast-growing team and offer high-impact graphic design and production support. The Graphic Design and Production Associate will implement TCF’s visual brand and deliver creative projects to deepen engagement with target audiences.

Reporting to the Creative Manager, the Associate will develop content for TCF’s public-facing platforms, including building out reports and commentaries for TCF.org, making sure our research is supported with clean, dynamic visuals, and helping to maintain the website to a high standard. They will also provide support to TCF’s start-up think tank, Next100, and, as a core member of the team, across TCF’s wider range of communications functions (e.g. press, social media, and events).

Responsibilities

Design branded content for TCF.org, events, social media, email outreach, development, and marketing—as well as online content and printed material.

Help produce content on TCF.org (a Wordpress site), including inputting copy, selecting and creating imagery, coordinating design assets, and updating web pages.

Provide creative input and ideas to TCF’s teams, and then turn those ideas into reality through effective project management and communication.

Help develop, review, and troubleshoot various TCF-branded digital emails, as well as social media graphics to ensure all work is properly sized and rendering correctly.

Execute timely edits and design changes, ensuring that images are accurate and that copy edits are made properly.

Assist with and/or create interactive data visualizations to support TCF’s research, and edit video and audio content for publication.

Assist with site optimization tasks including but not limited to making routine updates across the site, cleaning up 404/301 errors, inputting alt-text, and fixing broken URLs.

Research keywords, refine SEO for website content, monitor basic web analytics, and help manage TCF’s Google AdGrants Pro campaigns.

Roughly 20% of the Associate’s time may be spent in support of the communications team overall, including tasks such as compiling weekly media hits, updating press lists, drafting social media content, and helping with event coordination, etc., as needed.

Requirements

Two to five years of graphic design experience in a professional context.

Experience in digital production using Wordpress, HTML, and CSS.

Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustration, and InDesign.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Video, audio editing, photography and data visualization skills are a plus.

Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization, Google Adwords, or content marketing a plus.
